  What is a facilitation charter? A charter is "a written instrument or contract executed in due form" (Merriam-Webster, n.d). Facilitation speaks to the "technique used by trainers to help learners acquire, retain and apply knowledge and skills. ('What Is Facilitation, n.d.). The facilitation charter can be expressed as a written document that outlines the techniques that will be used to ensure students are engaged during a lesson. The facilitation charter created below is for an online course that can be performed on any learning management system, the subject matter is connected to science, physics. What are collaborative tools? Collaborative tools refer to " tools and platforms people use to work together with a digital environment" (Warren, 2020). These tools have given people the capacity to work together across the world without being physically in the same room. They help us brainstorm, complete activities and create. There are many collaborative tools, some of the tools I have interacted with as an educator and a student are Padlet, Google applications: Jamboard, doc, spreadsheet, sites, classroom.., and Microsoft 365 suite: word, Excel, Visio etc. Using collaborative tools as a teacher As a teacher, I use collaborative tools like Jamboard to complete activities. One such activity was a goal board for the academic year. I also used it for them to complete their solutions to questions/worksheets together in our scheduled classes.  Online Facilitation Models Facilitation speaks to the "technique used by trainers to help learners acquire, retain and apply knowledge and skills. ('What Is Facilitation, n.d.). The author outlines that facilitation is not presenting content but creating an experience through discussion, problem-solving, questioning, listening and other skills not just talking. This leads to the idea surrounding online facilitation which requires all these skills to be applied to the virtual space. The use of applications, software, and the internet are key in enhancing the learning experiences through online facilitation. In order to ensure the skills are being exercised online, since it's natural different from face-to-face facilitation, the lecturer or trainer must change their methods of teaching to become an online facilitator.
